Strength, balance and confidence
For people who want to stay steady, strong and independent for everyday life, walking, stairs, gardening, shopping and community activities.
Exercise Physiology-led classes
Supervised daytime group exercise for people who want strength, balance, confidence and clinical support in a friendly class setting.
EHF clinical classes are led by Exercise Physiologists and trained staff across our local clinics. They are designed for people who may need more guidance than a generic gym class, including older adults, people with health conditions, funded clients and people returning to exercise.
Train with EHF staff who guide, encourage and help you feel comfortable from the first session.
Build routine alongside people working on strength, balance, fitness and confidence together.
Improve practical strength, fitness and confidence for walking, stairs, gardening, sport and social activity.
We help choose the right class, location and next step based on your goals, ability and pathway.
Who these classes are for
These classes suit people who want a safe, social and structured way to exercise, especially when confidence, health conditions, age, injury history or funding pathways mean a generic class is not the right fit.
For people who want to stay steady, strong and independent for everyday life, walking, stairs, gardening, shopping and community activities.
For people managing chronic conditions, returning after time away from exercise, or needing a more careful progression.
Some people may access classes through funded or referred pathways when eligible, suitable and approved. We can help clarify the next step.
Classes help people build a weekly rhythm, train around others and keep moving with support from the EHF team.
Class options
Availability can vary by clinic and timetable. The best class depends on your goals, current capacity, support needs and whether an assessment or referral pathway applies.
For older adults, people managing multiple health conditions, or anyone rebuilding after injury or surgery. Walking and mobility aids are welcome, and 1:1 support can be arranged within the group if needed.
A mid-tier class for older adults who want to begin challenging themselves a little more while staying supported by expert trainers. Build strength, confidence and capacity with guided progression.
A step up from Strength 2 Strength for people ready for more challenge. PT Pals bridges clinical classes and Functional Fitness with extra coaching, confidence and progression.
Condition-specific clinical exercise
EHF’s Parkinson’s exercise groups provide supervised, condition-aware exercise in a supportive class setting. Sessions may include work on strength, balance, movement, fitness, confidence and maintaining a regular exercise routine, with activities adjusted to the group and the individual.
Wednesday morning. An initial assessment is required before joining. Please call to arrange the assessment and confirm the current time.
Thursday morning. An initial assessment is required before joining. Please call to arrange the assessment and confirm the current time.
If a group is not the right starting point, individual neurological Exercise Physiology support is available at Batemans Bay, Moruya and Ulladulla.
Classes or individual sessions may be accessed privately or, where eligible and suitable, through aged care, NDIS, a Medicare GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (often called an EPC), or private health. Funding and rebates are not automatic and depend on the person’s plan, referral, insurer and clinical suitability.
How to start
Because these are supervised clinical classes, we may recommend an initial appointment before you join. This helps us understand your goals, health background, safety considerations, funding pathway and the most suitable class option.
Tell us what you are hoping to achieve, which location suits you and whether funding or referral details apply.
We check your movement, goals, relevant health history and what level of support you need in a group.
We recommend the most suitable class, location and timetable option, or suggest 1:1 support if that is safer first.
Your program can be adjusted as your confidence, strength, balance and capacity improve.
Funding and referrals
Depending on your circumstances, classes may be accessed privately or through a support, referral or claim pathway. Funding and suitability are not automatic, so the safest first step is to contact the team.

Where classes run
Not every class runs at every clinic or every time of year. Use the timetable as a guide, then call if you are unsure which class is suitable.

Questions
Sometimes, but many clinical classes work best after an initial 1:1 appointment. Call first if you have health conditions, funding, referral details or are unsure which class fits.
No. Functional Fitness is a higher-energy general fitness program in Batemans Bay. Clinical classes are daytime supervised classes for people who need more clinical guidance.
Possibly, depending on suitability, eligibility, referral details, plan rules or approval requirements. We can help you work out the practical next step.
That is common. We can start with an assessment and recommend a class or 1:1 pathway that matches your confidence and current capacity.
